The Czech Council for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification of China has expressed support for the Chinese government's publication of a white paper on 50 years of democratic reform in Tibet.

In an interview with Xinhua on Monday, Nijian, president of the council, said that the white paper revealed 50 years of historical change and development in Tibet since the Chinese government launched a democratic reform.

The paper showcased the progress of Tibet's democratic reform, social development and human rights cause over the past five decades, he said.

It also demonstrated the transition of Tibet from feudal serfdom to a new Tibet with remarkable economic and social development and greatly improved living conditions for the local people, he added.

Ni said that the Dalai clique recently has stirred up trouble, spread lies around the world on the so-called "Tibet issue." The publication of the paper exposed the lies of the Dalai clique and made the world see the true separatist nature of the Dalai clique.

He said that the council firmly supports the Chinese government's stance and principle on the Tibet issue.

"Tibet is an inalienable part of the Chinese territory and we will by no means allow Dalai clique to split Tibet from our motherland. To safeguard the integrity of the motherland is the responsibility and obligation of all overseas Chinese," Ni said.
