Four Lebanese army soldiers were killed and several wounded Monday in east Lebanon town of Ryaq in Bekaa, official TL TV reported.
The Lebanese army patrol came under fire near the Bekaa town of Ryaq in east Lebanon killing four soldiers and wounding over 13 others.
The Lebanese army has its main military base in Ryak, however, no information was yet released on the identity of the aggressors.
Meanwhile, reports from Ballbak town in the Bekaa also said that clashes erupted between the Lebanese army and gunmen in the area.
The Lebanese army fought fierce battles with Sunni Muslim extremist gunmen of Fatah al-Islam in May 2007, extremist groups have vowed to revenge from the Lebanese army.
