Adjust font size:

Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari arrived in Sanya Friday afternoon to attend the 2009 meeting of the Bo'ao Forum for Asia (BFA) from April 17 to 19 in south China's Hainan Province.

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao will meet with Zardari on the sideline of the Asian Forum. They are expected to confer on bilateral relations and other regional and international issues.

Before heading for the forum, Zardari told Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Luo Zhaohui that the BFA would provide a platform to discuss ways to tackle global crisis, enhance cooperation and overcome difficulties.

Leaders and former leaders from more than a dozen countries and regions have been invited to attend the forum, at which Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao will give a keynote speech.

This year's BAF annual conference is widely regarded as a platform where delegates can explore ways of addressing the crisis, raising confidence and enhancing the economic growth of Asia.
