Adjust font size:

China will further cooperation with Turkey in dealing with the global financial crisis, a senior Chinese political advisor said Wednesday.

"China will share its experience with Turkey and seek solutions together so as to cope with the global financial crisis," Luo Fuhe, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), told a delegation of Turkish legislators.

Ihsan Arslan, president of the Turkish-Chinese Friendship Group of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and head of the delegation, said China would help cure the crisis-hit world economy.

Turkey, also a member of the Group of 20 major world economies, hoped to boost economic and trade ties with China to benefit the two peoples and the world, he said.

The Turkish-Chinese Friendship Group includes legislators from the ruling and opposition parties.

Sino-Turkish trade volume was 12.6 billion U.S. dollars in 2008, up 6.8 percent year on year, and 8.6 billion U.S. dollars in China's favor, according to the Ministry of Commerce.
