Chinese vice premier leaves for climate conference

Chinese Vice Premier Hui Liangyu left Beijing on Wednesday to pay a three-nation visit and attend the third World Climate Conference to be held in Geneva.

Hui will visit Slovenia, Lithuania and Latvia starting from Wednesday at the invitation of Slovenian government, Lithuanian Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius and Latvian Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis respectively, said a press release from Chinese foreign ministry.

Hui will also attend the third World Climate Conference, organized by World Meteorological Organization, which is scheduled to be held in Geneva, Switzerland from Aug. 31 to Sept. 4.
