The United States and South Korea committed over 170 cases of aerial spying over the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in August, official media reported Monday citing a military source.

Some 90 of the cases were committed by the United States, which used RC-135, U-2 and E-3 reconnaissance aircraft over waters on the northeast of South Korea, while South Korea was responsible for at least 80 cases, the Korean Central News Agency said.

The agency reports U.S. and South Korean spying flights monthly. More than 180 cases of aerial spying were reported last month.
