China, Cuba discuss economic cooperation

Chinese Vice Premier Wang Qishan met in Beijing Wednesday with Vice President of the Council of Ministers of Cuba Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz.

The two sides spoke highly of the China-Cuba traditional friendship and the friendly relations between the two nations. They also exchanged views on bilateral economic and trade cooperation under the new situation.

China and Cuba registered 800 million U.S. dollars worth of bilateral trade in 2004, and it reached more than 2.2 billion in 2008.
