Adjust font size:

A Chinese cultural week in Vietnam lifted curtains in Hanoi Wednesday to reveal the beauty of Chinese arts, photography and film, contributing to enhancing the friendly and cooperative ties between the two countries.

The cultural week with the participation of visiting officials and artists from China's Heilongjiang Province is part of cultural exchange and cooperation programs between the two nations, Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Culture and Information Le Tien Tho said before an art performance which ignited the week.

The Heilongjiang art troupe offered audience in Hanoi capital fine songs, compositions and dances which sketched the rich spiritual and material life of Chinese people. The performances surprised the audience by spectacular dances like "walking on stilts" dance, and sweet melodies vibrating from traditional musical instruments such as Chinese violin, zither and flute.

The art troupe will tour northern Hai Phong City on February 18. Other cultural activities, including a film show, a photo exhibition, and a picture book issuance are to take place in Hanoi during the week.
