Adjust font size:

The Belarusian Embassy in China held an education forum in Beijing on Monday, aiming to attract more Chinese students to study in Belarus.

The Belarusian Ambassador to China Anatoli Kharlap said that Belarus enjoys three advantages in its higher education, namely high quality, low tuitions and a stable social environment.

"There are about 1,000 Chinese students in Belarusian universities, and we are willing to receive more," Kharlap said.

"We hope the number of Chinese students can be doubled by the end of 2007 and reach 5,000 within five years," Kharlap said.

Presidents from eight key Belarusian universities also attended the forum. They briefed the guests on conditions and recruitment policies of their universities.
