Adjust font size:

More than 30 Chinese and German representatives from political, economic and social circles gathered at the second meeting of the China-Germany Dialogue Forum on Monday to discuss key issues on promoting bilateral cooperation.

During the two-day meeting, the representatives will exchange views on energy cooperation and the creation of an innovative society.

Xu Kuangdi, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, said at the opening ceremony that both nations are eager to develop bilateral ties and to learn from each other.

Professor Heinrich Von Pierer, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Siemens AG, said he also believed the meeting would further the friendship between the two countries.

The China-Germany Dialogue Forum, a non-governmental forum that was first established in Berlin in 2005, aims to explore friendly bilateral cooperation in various fields and to make relevant suggestions to the two governments.
