China Design Now, a major design exhibition, will be held at the Victoria & Albert Museum (V&A) in London from March 15 to July 13, it was announced in London on Tuesday.

The China Design Now exhibition will showcase some of the best in new Chinese design and look at developments in three rapidly expanding cities – Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen, Marah Winn- Moon, head of Cultural Sponsorship, HSBC, announced at a press conference.

The exhibition, solely sponsored by HSBC, one of the world's largest banking and financial services organizations, will include architecture, photography, ceramics, digital media, fashion, product design and graphics, she said.

"It really puts a finger on the pulse of creative China and we hope it will give people in the UK a sense of the explosion of new design coming out of China today," Marah Winn-Moon said.

China Design Now is a flagship event of CHINA NOW, the biggest-ever festival of Chinese culture in Britain which started from February and runs until the opening of Beijing Olympic Games, featuring some more than 800 events across Britain.
