Adjust font size:

China's Shenzhen Airlines now flies forth and back between Nanning in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the Indonesian capital Jakarta twice a week.

The company said it targeted tourists and businessmen between the two cities to use the service of a Boeing 737-800 which has 159 economy seats and eight business seats, local newspaper Bisnis Indonesia reported Tuesday, quoting a visiting executive of the company.

Shenzhen Airlines has prepared a telecommunication service that will allow passengers to use cellular phones during the flight.

"This program is our new offer, with low fares (passengers) can get advanced technology," said Li Wei, vice president of Shenzhen Airlines' Nanning branch.

He visited Jakarta Monday accompanied by Guang Xi Civil Aviation Bureau director Liang Jitian to inaugurate the new route.
