Chinese FM to Attend ASEAN Meetings, Visit Pacific Island Countries

Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing will attend the seventh foreign ministers' meeting of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and China, Japan and the Republic of Korea (10+3) from July 26 to 28 in Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu said Monday.
 
Jiang said that Li is invited by Malaysian Minister of Foreign Affairs Syed Hamid Albar.

Li will also attend the ASEAN's Post Ministerial Conferences (PMC) with dialogue countries and the thirteenth foreign ministers' meeting of the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF).

After the meetings, Li will pay official visits to Micronesia, Samoa, Niue, the Cook Islands, Tonga, Fiji, Vanuatu and Papua New Guinea.
