The twin suicide bombing attacks in eastern Pakistan have left 28 people dead, and some 160 injured, local TV channel reported Tuesday evening.

The blasts in eastern city Lahore, one targeting the Federal Investigation Agency headquarters and the other hitting an advertising firm, were the latest in a wave of violence in Pakistan.

Twenty-two people including 12 agency employees were killed in the first blast, and two children and two adults died in the other attack on the advertising office, which is a few kilometers away, GEO TV quoted Federal Investigation Agency chief Tariq Pervaz as saying.

Earlier Tuesday, Pakistan Interior Ministry put the death toll at 24.
