Home away from home: Harley Davidson of Beijing
Adjust font size:

By Christina Monserrate

I'm living in Beijing for two months, and it's my first time abroad. Needless to say, I miss home. We're about halfway through our experience as Olympic volunteers, and I must say things are really picking up. But I still found time to visit a place I call home.

It's really hard to shop for my Dad. I never know what he wants. But, I found the perfect place to get his souvenir from China.

My dad rides two Harleys, and he likes to collect Harley T-shirts. What makes these t-shirts special? Take a look at the screen print on the back of them.

In each city where there's a Harley Davidson store, there are T-shirts with the name of the city printed on the back. Harley Davidson of Beijing is also the first authorized dealer of its kind in mainland China.

The only disappointing part about the T-shirts is that they're double the price of the T-shirts in America - 298 RMB each! I still bought three - two for my dad, and one for my mom. You only live once, right? These shirts aren't available online, or in the United States.
