Cross-Cultural Fundraising a Hit

Indian saris, Korean kimchis, Swiss army knives ... you could find all these items and more at the Consular Spouses Shanghai charity bazaar, held at the Renaissance Yangtze Shanghai Hotel on Sunday.

Nearly 40 groups from Shanghai set up stalls at the bazaar, where they were fundraising for the needy by selling a diverse range of cross-cultural items.

 

The Consular Spouses Shanghai has been holding the annual charity event for ten years now, to-date they have raised several million yuan.

 

The money is predominately used in helping women and children gain access to healthcare and educational facilities.
