Sympathy extended to veteran gymnast

Chinese retired gymnast Li Ning (L), now the boss of a leading domestic sportswear maker branded after his name, presents a set of the Beijing Olympics mascot, Fuwa, to the German athlete Oksana Chusovitina, the silver medalist in the women's vault event at the Beijing Games, along with a donation of 20,000 euros to afford the treatment for her leukaemia-hit son on Thursday, August 21, 2008.
