Express Bus into Olympic Village
Adjust font size:

There will be more than 50 electric buses serving the Olympic village in 20 months, Beijing Public Transportation Corporation President Zheng Shusen said.

According to Zheng, 2,500 old buses are scheduled to be replaced this year and two special bus lines, or Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) will open, extending service to Chaoyang Road and Anli Road near the Olympic Village and the main Olympic venues.

Investment in the newly developed BRT bus system was overĀ 4 million yuan (US$50 million). The buses are 18 meters long and can hold 180 to 200 passengers.
