Spanish mountain bike coach makes change to Olympics squad
Adjust font size:

The coach of the Spanish mountain bike team for the Beijing Olympics Cristobal Sanchez has made a late change to his squad replacing Ruben Ruzafa with Carlos Coloma.

Sanchez said late in 2007 that Coloma would form part of his squad. However, Coloma's poor form in the early part of this season led to him being replaced by Ruzafa.

Coloma, who won the bronze medal in the "Good Luck Beijing" mountain bike invitation event last year, welcomed the decision.

"Justice has been done," he told the press in his hometown of Logrono on Wednesday.
