Nepali shooter unhappy over Olympic selection

Nepali shooter Bhagwati KC has expressed her dissatisfaction over being unable to qualify for the Beijing Olympics, local newspaper The Rising Nepal reported on Friday.

Fulmaya Kapchaki had already been selected getting wild card in the Olympics from shooting. After finishing with 380 points in the 15th Asian Games in Doha, Qatar, Kapchaki was selected for the Summer Games. Minimum 375 points is needed for the shooters to be selected in the Olympics.

But Bhagwati KC, who participated in the Sydney Olympics, claimed that she got two points more than Kapchaki in Quatar. "I have performed better than Kapchaki and should be selected according to the performance," KC demanded.

"Likewise, I have also scored highest (386) in the Asian Championships, four points more than Fulmaya in the same tournament," Bhagwati added.

Bhagwati has demanded for the investigation over the Olympics selection, according to the report.
