World Cup holders Germany announced on Friday the final squad for the Beijing Olympic Games.

German coach Silvia Neid said the 16 players of the team are all from the 2007 team that sealed the world champions title in China.

"The decision wasn't easy," said Neid said.

"Everyone gave everything. At least I am convinced that we have a very strong team for the Olympics," she added.

On July 23, Germany will play Norway in Sandefjord in their last warm-up match ahead of the Olympics, where Germany faces Brazil in their first match of the preliminary round on August 6th.

In 2007 Germany beat Brazil 2-0 in the World Cup final to win the title.
