"The atmosphere is always great and my will to compete in the name of Jordan has never been stronger. I am seeking to bring a medal home and write history," local daily Jordan Times quoted taekwondo player Nadeen Dawani on the upcoming Beijing Olympic Games.

Nadeen Dawani grabbed her first Asian gold medal when she was just 14 years old. Taking on the taekwondo career nine years ago, she has won seven medals internationally and two regionally.

"The word impossible does not exist in my dictionary, I believe we all can make a difference and prove that we have the ability to compete and accomplish," Dawani said.

Actually this is not the first time Dawani competes in Olympics. She still remembers the feeling to take part in the Athens Games.

"My experience in Athens 2004 was a mixture of joy and tears. I was so close to bringing home an Olympic bronze medal for the first time. After two victories, I lost to a French athlete and had to settle for fifth position," she said.

She qualified for Olympics after winning the silver medal in the Asian qualifiers which was held in Vietnam, according to the report.

Dawani will join six other Jordanian athletes to compete at the Beijing Olympics held from August 8 to 24.
