China's gold medal hopefuls:
Table tennis - women's singles
Almost nobody can beat China's table tennis team of Zhang Yining, Wang Nan and Guo Yue. Their task is to join forces in the finals and win gold medals for China.
The women's Chinese hockey team, under their trainer Jin Changbo, is expected to win the gold medal after their frustration four years ago.
Women's bicycle motocross is not well-known, but China has its world-class athletes. Ren Chengyuan has won many World Cup events, and Wang Jingjing and Liu Ying are also likely to win medals, perhaps even gold.
