Chinese shooting squad is seeking to win another gold medal on Sunday. However, the chance is hard to estimate due to fierce competition.

Apart from women's world record holder Ren Jie, hope was also pinned on Guo Wenjun, a 24-year-old from the northwestern Shaanxi Province, who won silver medals in women's 10-meter air pistol at the Doha Asian Games and 2007 World Cup Final, as well as gold medals in the Munich and Milan legs of World Cup earlier this year.

However, Guo is likely to be challenged by Serbian shooter Jasna Sekaric, Viktoria Chaika from Belarus and Ukrainian Olena Kostevych.

Sekaric, 43, who led her national team at the Olympic opening ceremony, was gold medalist in the 1988 Seoul Olympics who raked in three silver medals in following Olympics at women's 10m air pistol.

Born in April 14, 1985, Kostevych won the 10m Air Pistol event at the 2002 World Shooting Championships, the 2003 World Cup Final, and the 2004 Olympics. She held the Olympic record and her Ukrainian record of 394 is one point higher than the world record.

The 28-year-old Chaika was 2008 European Championships gold medalist in the event. Last year, she crowned in the event at World Cup Munich leg.

Another event to be held on Sunday is men's trap, in which Russian shooter, Athens champion Alipov Aleksey is hopeful to defend his title.
