Hugarian weightlifter injured, quit competition

Weightlifter Janos Baranyai of Hungary injured his right arm as he was competing in the Group B men's 77kg category at Beijing Olympics in Beijing on Wednesday.

The 24-year-old Baranyai, eighth-place winner in the European Championships in April, failed to lift 145kg in his second attmept before he fell onthe floor.

"His right arm was dislocated and need urgent therapy."said Marta Victoria Barroga, the doctor on duty.

Baranyai was sent to the China-Japan FriendshipHospital, which is among the 24 hospitals as designated medical service providers for the Beijing Olympic Games.
