Britain's only hope in the Olympic badminton tournament was dashed on Thursday as the mixed duo of Gail Emms and Nathan Robertson lost to a South Korean pair.

Lee Hyo-jung and Lee Yong-dae gave a 21-19, 21-12 beating to the Britons who had upset second seeded Gao Ling and Zheng Bo from China in an early game.

Britain sent three men and three women players to the Olympics. Emms and Robertson were last to go down.
