Chinese feather weight (57 kg) boxer Li Yang was eliminated in the quarterfinals on Monday.

Chinese feather weight (57 kg) boxer Li Yang was eliminated in the quarterfinals at the Beijing Olympic Games on Monday.

He was beaten by Vasyl Lomachenko from Ukraine 11-2. Despite his courage and fierceness, the 26-year-old Chinese boxer failed to get more points from his rival, who is six years younger and good at defense.

Li lost to Lomachenko on tie-break in the semifinals of the 2007 World Champions. Lemachenko became the silver medalist eventually at that time.

"I lost patience at the beginning and initiated attacks, which I am actually not good at," Li after Monday's match.

Li said he was a little upset as he had hoped to revenge last year's defeat on home ring.

"I will have more training so that I can do better in the London Olympic Games," he added.
