Indonesian badminton team manager Lius Pongoh on Monday denied unfulfilled medal earning target of Indonesian shuttlers at Beijing Olympics.

"Since the first time, we don't fix the target. But we stick at the tradition of one gold medal which has always been achieved by shuttlers. And the tradition repeats at the Beijing Olympics from Markis Kido and Hendra Setiawan (gold medal earners from men's double)," Pongoh told Xinhua.

Regardless of the results, Pongoh praised the Beijing Olympics with all the tangible benefits include the sports venues, facilities for foreign athletes including Indonesia and other infrastructure that was put in place for the Games.

"We really felt at home staying in the athletes' village, and we are satisfied with the sport halls, the food provided for athletes, and everything," he said.
