Adjust font size:

Bolivian President Evo Morales has expressed his support for the Beijing Olympics, Chinese diplomatic sources in Bolivia said Sunday.

The Bolivian government and people fully support the Beijing Olympics, Morales said on Friday when he met with Chinese Ambassador to Bolivia Zhao Wuyi.

The president also expressed his confidence that the Beijing Olympics will be a complete success and will become one of the best in history.

Peruvian President Alan Garcia has also voiced support for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and spoke highly of China's development modes.

Hosting the Olympics is a great opportunity for China to showcase its tremendous achievements since the country's reform and opening up, Garcia said in a signed article published by El Comercio, a leading Peruvian newspaper, on March 27.

A number of foreign governments and senior officials have expressed support for the Beijing Olympic Games, condemning those actions of disrupting the Olympic torch relay and politicizing the sports event.
