Czech shooter Katerina Emmons wins first gold medal

Katerina Emmons of the Czech Republic took the first gold at the Beijing Olymic Games. The women's 10m air rifle final took place in Beijing at 10:30 AM today and Katerina Emmons of the Czech Republic won the gold medal of the event.

Emmons totaled 503.5 points for the title, followed by Russian Lioubov Galkina in the second place at 502.1. The bronze medal went to Snjezana Pejcic of Croatia with 500.9 points.
