Training Center Opens for Paralympic Volunteers

Beijing's Olympic organizers said the number of volunteer applicants for the 2008 Beijing Olympics and Paralympics has now exceeded 620,000. A volunteer training center has been built to meet this growing demand.

A much-needed new training center for the Paralympic volunteers has recently been completed in Beijing. The volunteers will get the necessary training at the center to provide services to athletes during the 2008 Paralympic Games.

 

Thursday will mark the one year countdown to the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games. On that day, the International Paralympic Committee will issue invitations to athletes across the world to participate in the Games. The BOCOG will also unveil the route for the torch relay of the Games.
