Ceremonial maid volunteers for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games were appraised in Beijing on Saturday.

Chinanews.com reported that the examination was critical for the volunteers, as whether or not they can appear on the Olympic stage is dependent on the test results.

All of the potential ceremonial maids were put to the test during this year's "Good Luck Beijing" test events.

Judges, who were culled from several relevant departments in Beijing, included Zhao Dongming, director of the Cultural Activities Department of the BOCOG, well-known dancer Chen Ailian, and Olympic champions Li Lingwei, Louyun and Ye Qiaobo.
