Officials have photos taken on the ceremony launching China's National Stadium, known as the Bird's Nest, on June 28, 2008. Covering 20.4 hectares in the Beijing Olympic Green, the bowl-shaped and girder-structured huge nest with 91,000 seats will hold the opening and closing ceremonies, track and field events, men's soccer of the coming 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, and some events for the later Paralympics.
