The uniforms for Chinese athletes to wear at award ceremonies during the Beijing Olympics were unveiled by the Beijing Organizing Committee of Olympic Games (BOCOG) on Tuesday.

The white, red, and yellow uniforms, designed by designers from the Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, were selected from more than two thousand entries in a year-long design competition.

"This is the first time that we have collected the designs of award uniforms from the public," the China News Service quoted a BOCOG official as saying.

The official manufacturer Adidas will provide tailor-made award uniforms in seventeen sizes, ranging from 140cm to 226cm, for the China athletes. It is the widest size span of a single product design in its history, Adidas said.
