	Tennis: Zheng Jie Zheng has had an amazing performance at this year's Wimbledon. She has become the first Chinese woman to reach the semifinals of a Grand Slam event in the singles tournament.

	Zhao ready to put bad luck behind her The number 8 is not a lucky for Zhao Ruirui. China's towering spiker was wearing the normally auspicious number when she seriously injured herself four years ago.

	Trampoline: Ye Shuai Ye Shuai began gymnastics training in Xiamen Children's Sports School at the age of five. He later became a member of the diving team.

	Beach volleyball: Tian Jia Tian Jia and Wang Jie have become the new number one for China. They finished second overall in the 2006 FIVB World Tour rankings.
