The Beijing Olympic torch relay route in Pyongyang has been settled, the Chinese ambassador said Tuesday.

The Chinese ambassador to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), Liu Xiaoming, told a press conference that the torch will land on Pyongyang on April 28.

As planned, on April 28, the Olympic torch will travel through Pyongyang. The route will cover the city's iconic places including Tower of the Juche Idea, Kim Il Sung Square, East Pyongyang Grand Theatre, Arc of Triumph, People's Palace of Culture, Chollima Statue, Kim Il Sung Stadium, with the whole course about 20 kilometers.

The torch relay will bring the grandiose buildings, beautiful views and neat streets of Pyongyang to the eyes of the whole world, Liu said.

Pyongyang is the 18th stop of the Beijing Olympic torch relay around the world. The Olympic Flame will go to 21 cities on five continents before its journey continues in the Chinese mainland.
