Heavy rain suspended the Beijing Olympic torch relay in Kuala Lumpur on Monday.

Three and a half hours into the scheduled four-hour relay, local organizers suspended the event because of heavy rain.

The 13th leg of the torch's global journey started at 14:00 local time at Merdeka Square (Independent Square) and was previously scheduled to conclude at the iconic Petronas Twin Towers at 18:00.
