Last torchbearer Zhou Peishun carried the Olympic flame at 11 a.m., local time, on Monday into the People's Square of Taizhou, where the torch was used to light the cauldron, marking the end of the relay leg.

Zhou was among 104 torchbearers, who ranged in age from 17 to 78, to take part in the Taizhou leg of the Olympic Torch Relay.

Preceded by a minute's silence in remembrance of the earthquake victims in Sichuan, the relay started at the hundred-year-old Taizhou High School. Torchbearers carried the flame pass numerous sights, including the Mei Lanfang Memorial Museum and 11 bridges, along the 12.8-km route.

Banners were posted all along the relay course, serving as reminders of and encouragement to those affected by the recent earthquake and aftershocks. In addition, donation boxes were set up in multiple places to enable spectators to donate toward disaster relief efforts.

The Olympic flame will head next to Yangzhou, also in Jiangsu Province, for the next leg of the Torch Relay there Monday afternoon.
