The Beijing Olympic torch relay in Yanji, Jilin Province, was delayed to 2:00 p.m. local time due to heavy rain.

Organizers said for the sake of safety of the relay and the spectators, the torch relay was postponed.

The route of the torch relay will not be changed, the organizers added.
