The torch relay in Kunming, capital of Yunnan province has concluded, as the Olympic Flame continues its domestic journey.

The relay ceremony was held at the Century Square of the Yunnan World Horticultural Exposition Garden. Ethnic dancers put on a grand performance, adding a unique flavor to the relay.

A minute of silence by all the participants was observed as a tribute to Sichuan's quake victims. The first torchbearer was renowned long-distance runner Zhong Huandi. She kicked off the Kunming leg of the relay.

208 torchbearers carried the flame along the 8.3 kilometer route, which travels from the Garden to various tourist attractions in the city, including Tianchi Lake and Kangyi Recreation Garden.

Yunnan is a province rich in ethnic culture, and many of the torchbearers were from ethnic groups. The last torch bearer was Jiang Shaomin, a famous gymnast. She lit the cauldron at the ethnic village.

After Kunming, the torch travels to Lijiang and Shangri-la, two of the province's most famous tourist attractions.
