The bone density meter is designed to pinpoint physical abnormalities by measuring an athlete's bone density and fat percentage. It's a portable supersonic diagnostic instrument that has also been widely used in the Sichuan earthquake relief effort, because of its effectivenes for injury analysis.

All these upgraded medical instruments are meant to ensure that any injuries suffered by Olympic athletes are limited to the least possible degree.
