Women's Individual Pursuit (LC 1-2/CP 4): Schuble favoured for gold
Adjust font size:

The Women's Individual Pursuit (LC1-2/CP4) gold medal will be contested between Jennifer Schuble of the United States and Sarah Storey of Great Britain who both set world records in their respective classes, CP4 and LC1, in the qualifying round.

Although Storey is the fastest on the track, after adjustments for disability class, Schuble looks to be the favourite having gone five seconds faster than the British rider.

China is guaranteed a bronze medal with the third place being fought out between Dong Jingping and Ye Yaping with Dong expected to edge out her compatriot having raced two seconds faster in the qualifying round.
