Barbara Buchan of the United States came home first by a margin of 2.316 seconds to spoil the day for Natalie Simanowski of Germany and take the second title of the meeting for the United States in the gold medal final of the Women's Individual Pursuit (LC3-4/CP3) on Wednesday, September 10.

Simanowski was racing to go one better than the silver she took in the Women's 500m Time Trial (LC3-4/CP3) but had to make do with another silver.

Simanowski was fastest on the track but with the times adjusted with respect to their disability levels, Buchan had the edge.

The bronze medal run-off was won by New Zealand's Paula Tesoriero, winner of the Women's 500m Time Trial (LC3-4/CP3), who beat Jayme Paris of Australia by just half a second.
