Sitting Volleyball Day 5 Preview: Japan to seek their first win

Classification rounds will decide positions 5-8 in the Men's and Women's Sitting Volleyball at the CAU Gymnasium on Thursday, September 11.

Ukraine v Latvia (Women)

- Ukraine had an easy win over Japan in their final preliminary match.

- Player to watch on the Ukrainian team is high scorer Ilona Yudina.

- Latvia finished the preliminaries in fourth position of pool B only winning one set against Lithuania.

- Irina Jermolenko is Latvia's top-scorer followed closely by Zanna Skutane.

China v Japan (Men)

- China have already proven their capabilities with a win over Iraq.

- China spikers Zhang Zhongmin and Wang Haidong will be looking to get some more points on the board.

- The newcomers Japan are yet to win a set in the tournament

- Japan have improved their form during the preliminary matches and will put up a fight against China.

Lithuania v Japan (Women)

- Lithuania in their Paralympic Sitting Volleyball debut beat Latvia to finish in third position of pool B.

- Japan won one set in the preliminaries against Slovenia.

- Lithuania are currently ranked world No. 6 and Japan are world No. 10.

Brazil v Iraq (Men)

- Brazil is coming off their first victory of the tournament against Japan.

- Iraq have not won a set yet in the preliminaries.

- Players to watch will be Iraq's Hadi Juboori and Brazil's spiking duo Renato Leite and Wescley Oliveira.
