Archery Day 5 Preview: World class archery expected in semifinals

In the other semifinal Fu Hongzhi of China will play Japan's Aya Nakanishi. Fu beat compatriot Cao Xuerong in the quarterfinals, where as Nakanishi edged out fellow Japanese Chatell du Maufras.

The gold medal, as well as the bronze medal matches will take place on Saturday.

Men's Individual Compound - Open Semifinal

Top seed and World record holder John Stubbs of Great Britain will take on Phillippe Horner of Swizerland in the first semifinal. Stubbs qualified for the semifinal after beating pre-competition favorite Kevin Evans Canada in the quarterfinals.

In the second semifinal Italy's Alberto Simonelli of Italy will lock horns with TJ Pemberton of the United States.

Simonelli beat Jiri Klich of the Czech Republic to make it to the semifinals, where as Pemberton got the better of teammate Joe Bailey en route to the semifinals.

The gold medal, as well as the bronze medal matches will take place on Saturday.
