Day 7 Preview: Team competition promises a close contest

The Team competition promises to provide spectators with exciting action with all the top teams vying for top honors at the Olympic Green Archery Field on Monday, September 15.

Men's Team Recurve - Open

The Men's Team Recurve - Open will start with a 1/8 Elimination round, in which Thailand will take on Great Britain and Slovakia will play Ukraine.

In the 1/4 Elimination round which follows, Japan will lock horns with Spain and China will battle it out against Poland.

The Republic of Korea will play either Slovakia or Ukraine (depending on the 1/8 Elimination round result) and Italy will take on either Thailand or Great Britain (depending on the 1/8 Elimination round result).

Women's Team Recurve - Open

Since the Women's competition has eight teams competing, no 1/8 Elimination round will be held. Competition will start with the 1/4 Elimination round.

The Britain and the ROK clash will be the highlight, with archers from both countries in top form.

The China, Germany match will also be an interesting contest, with China starting as favorites, given their recent form and the home support.

Among the other clashes Poland will play Ukraine and Japan will take on the Czech Republic.
