A resident jumps from cars swept by the floods after tropical storm Washi in Cagayan de Oro, the Philippines, on Dec. 20, 2011. National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported that as of Tuesday afternoon, the death toll from the typhoon stands at 957.
