Australian artist China De La Vegas works at her 20-square-meter studio in Jingdezhen. De La Vegas came to the ancient Chinese city last year together with her two-and-a half year-old child and lives in a local hotel. The annual rent for her studio is 4,000 yuan (US$645.03), relatively lower than the average rent in big cities. Like many other artists, De La Vegas was drawn to Jingdezhen by its reputation for pottery and porcelain culture. [Photo/China.org.cn] |
