Artist Gan Daofu poses for a picture in his house in Jingdezhen. Gan comes from Quanjiao in Anhui Province. After graduating from the Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute, he went to Beijing and began working at a Chinese-foreign joint venture business producing ceramic bathroom fixtures. Six years later, he resigned and returned to the Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute to earn a Master's degree. The institute hired him as a faculty member after he graduated.
