Women of Dai ethnic group perform for tourists at a scenic spot in Ruili, southwest China's Yunnan Province, March 9, 2019. Ruili, a city on the China-Myanmar border, is an important land port located in southwest China. A famous Chinese song named "There is a Beautiful Place" describes the beauty of the city, featuring its unique natural landscape and colorful folklore. In 2010, Ruili was listed as a national opening-up pilot zone, which boosts opening-up and facilitates the mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Myanmar. In 2017, the two countries signed a memorandum of understanding on the set-up of the economic cooperation zone along the China-Myanmar border. More mutual exchanges in wider sectors of education, culture, arts and sports also strengthen the ties between China and Myanmar. (Xinhua/Li Xiaoguo)
